Welcome

Julius Caesar - quoteWelcome to Enduring Pain With Patience…

This is a new venture for me (Please be sure to read my initial post — Greetings and Felicitations)… in another life, before my Pain and Depression took over and I had to file for Disability, I used to be a full-time telecommuter, a self-employed Programmer, and a Web Designer and Developer, among other things…

Since then, my back keeps me from sitting in front of the computer and my hands, well, when my fingers are not all going into business for themselves and creating more typos than actual typing, and when the pain, burning, and dysfunction in my hands allow me to do a little very slow typing, I try to get some actual creative time in using a lap-desk and my tablet or Chromebook while driving my recliner… it’s been slow going, but hopefully it’ll be worth it…

The name of this blog, Enduring Pain With Patience, is based on a quote I found online while searching for info on Pain and Depression:

“It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.”
– Julius Caesar

That pretty much says it all… had I the choice, believe me, it wouldn’t be this patiently waiting path… but we do what we must and try to work with what we’ve got… man, that really SUCKS! meh… oh well… onward and upward…

Peace,

Dave

  1. I’ll be following you. Friend from DS. I’ve been wanting to do more blogging myself. Maybe your blog will get me back in the grove. Healing hugs

  2. Hi Dave, Good for you for starting this blog. It really does help to put our thoughts & struggles on paper. I look forward to reading your future writings.

I’m considering starting a group & calling it chronic pain, Life & everything in between. I just want a group where people including myself are able to talk about what’s going on with them. Whether it be pain, stresses in their life, funny moments pretty much everything. I want it to be a place where everyone is comfortable sharing what’s going on with them. I just need to get a little more strength back.

I hope your day went well and pain was low. Take care my friend!
    Love, Hugs & God Bless

Ps I sure wouldn’t mind hearing another song from you 🙂

  3. Hi Dave. I am welcome to all of this myself. Thank you for following. I am looking forward to reading more of your posts. It stinks, I know, when your pain prevents outlets that can help. I have trigeminal neuralgia and TMD so it hurts to talk-which is hard for me.
    Ps- love the quote!
